Role in the Story[]
Vulture is seen, along with Howard the Duck, having captured Stan Lee. Spider-Man and Mister Fantastic arrive to confront them.
History[]
Adrian Toomes was the inventor of an electromagnetic anti-gravity harness and co-founder of B+T Electronics. When his business partner and fellow co-founder Bestman betrayed him, Toomes used his harness to rob Bestman to exact revenge. Having grown addicted to larceny, Toomes became the Vulture and disguised his harness as a pair of wings, going on a crime spree using them and battling Spider-Man, who figuratively "clipped" his wings by deactivating them using a miniature EMP device. The vengeful Vulture returned on many occasions to menace the wall-crawler and formed the Sinister Six with Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Electro, Mysterio, and Kraven the Hunter.
