- Smart - Iron Man (Mark 42) can use technology panels.
- Explosives - Iron Man (Mark 42) has explosives, so he can destroy silver LEGO bits and also destroy regular objects and enemies a lot faster.
- Laser - Iron Man (Mark 42) has a heat beam which can destroy and cut gold LEGO objects and melt ice.
- Flight - Iron Man (Mark 42) can fly to reach higher areas or travel places in a more direct fashion.
- Repulsors - Iron Man (Mark 42) has repulsor blasts so that he can get rid of enemies pretty fast.

- In LEGO Marvel's Avengers, complete Ready A.I.M. Fire.
- In the handheld version, find his character token in Hulkbuster vs. Hulk.
